No matter what type of Home Business Idea people come up with the perceived expectations of people in a Home Business are that you make a lot of money right away. This is a bad and inaccurate expectation. I have owned retail, manufacturing and service companies all of my life (my bio) and not once did I make money in the first two years even when I bought an existing business! Having an expectation to make money right away and then quitting that business when you don't make money right away, tells me that you not only do not have the right mind set but also you do not understand what is involved in starting a business.

This perceived expectation of making a lot of money right away unfortunately is more prevalent when the business is Network Marketing. This is probably due to the fact that most networking marketing Home Business Ideas have a very low start up cost which is certainly not the case in most retail, manufacturing, service and distribution companies one may start. With a low start up cost you get a lot of people going into Network Marketing who need money NOW! When that doesn't happen (which is the vast majority of the time) they quit.

One of the things people do not understand is you can have the greatest Home Business Ideas in the world but it still takes time to develop the right marketing strategy to "hit the market right". Among other things you need to understand the business, you need to understand the type of consumer you are going after, and you need to understand how the consumer is going to react. When you go into a business even a Network Marketing Business you must make a 3 to 5 year commitment (even if you work part time) to that business. You need to take each adversity in that business and use it to spring board yourself to the next opportunity. Of course it isn't easy. If it was easy everyone would be successful. If you are not prepared to make the 3 to 5 year commitment I would strongly suggest taking up something else. You simply do not have the proper mind set; expectation and understanding to own your own business.
